  actually you can workaround it, was mentioned in the forum sometime in the past:
  if you upload a project to the player then it is saved somewhere. you just find it and then if you edit the lua etc. files directly, then rerunning the gideros player will run with the new code.

  at keszegh, yes nice one in this case you just need an editor to edit the lua code on your phone.

  droidedit is a nice free editor on android.
