Folks,
You may know, if you've been following some of the other threads on this forum that I've recently got myself all worked up (in a good way) about the integration between Gideros and an open source IDE/Debugger called
ZeroBrane Studio. Well, apart from giving us debugging features (and ones that work on a real mobile device) it also has a rather nifty Live Coding feature. Frankly, this is what I've been looking for, for years, so I've spent some time putting together a demo to show what its capable of. Thanks to
@paulclinger for all his help while putting this together.
You can watch the video of this over at my blog in the entry entitled
20 Minutes to Awesome.
I'm afraid, I got so excited, there's quite a lot of waffle in that article but you can always jump straight to the video, if you're in a rush. I hope you find it interesting.
Best regards

Now I'll prepare a cup of coffee and watch it again
Also, I chuckled when you nonchalantly mentioned throwing in a syntax error to stop the automatic refreshing, brilliant solution!
I liked the quality of your presentation, it was clear and to the point.
I also like how you use your tools (screenflow + .. phonefinger? and eventually reflectionapp?).
This video was perfect to demonstrate the potential of ZeroBrane Studio (amazing work by @paulclinger) and Gideros Mobile together.
It opens lot of things, please someone tell me that @paulclinger and @atilim are already working together
I hope this video will go viral and get Gideros noticed even more (users, investors).
(then @atilim please hire @bowerandy and @ar2rsawseen ).
@Mells, you've almost guessed the toolchain correctly. Yes, I did use ScreenFlow. Normally, I use Camtasia Mac but I put the complete video together and decided to press the "Save" button before exporting and the whole thing keeled over and even wiped the file I'd previously saved! Next time through I decided I'd use ScreenFlow
And I also use Reflection to get the iPad screen onto the desktop (via Airplay) where it can be recorded. This works really well but occasionally there's a bit of lag from the WiFi link.
But no phonefinger (I hadn't heard of that). This is what I use instead.
Best regards
BhDemoShield is a very nice idea, thanks for sharing.
Never got disappointed with Screenflow.
I have never used ReflectionApp and tried AirserverApp instead (and its multiplayer mode) to record my drawing sessions. It works great (Reflection and Airserver are based on the same tech).
