Hello!
The first Gideros level editor is available! GIDEROS SVG LEVEL BUILDER!
http://gideros.karnakgames.comGideros SVG Level Builder is a set of libraries to be used in a Gideros game that allows you to create Gideros physics based games, levels and maps by just drawing in the free and open source vector drawing Inkscape. Everything you draw in Inkscape is automatically converted into Gideros physics bodies and sprites.
You can set physical properties and attributes (density, friction, etc) and image/animations attributes direct into Inkscape, without ever programming them. It supports all Gideros physics properties.
With it you only have to program the game logic itself. You won’t have to worry about element placement and positioning, which can be very time consuming when done by hand.
It also has an AMAZING ANIMATION SYSTEM in which you define clip names and play and pause them with a line of code, example: enemy:playClip("die"), instead of worrying about frame numbers and texture regions!

When do you think it'll be out - I mean the stable release for Gideros Studio?
I have a long way before releasing it, and since my time is very limited at the moment, unfortunately I would say around 30-45 days before the 1st release. Just to give you an idea, the working example as shown on the video was developed almost a month ago, and I could post something just today.
If you need more beta testers, just shout!

Example, in your body in Inkscape (or material) you define the frames:
run - 1-4 - duration
walk - 1-4 - duration
etc..
And then you can just:
body:play("run")
Instead of worrying about frames, etc.
This API will be part of the SVG Level Builder.

One question, though: I've Inkscape 0.48 installed, as PDF export with 0.47 was inaccurate, but in the docs it's specified that's not supported: how's that?

What I have done is installing both versions of Inkscape. The 0.47 is just in /Applications/Inkscape.047, while the actual version is in /Applications/Inkscape

But hey, Inkscape (which SVG Level Builder relies on) is free B-) .
Please e-mail me: contact@karnakgames.com telling me your PayPal e-mail that you bought the Corona version one, and I'll e-mail a promo link.
I want to evaluate it. Is it possible?
